I have always been fascinated by both the form of the skull and the controversy, emotion, mystery and passion that this object and its symbolism has provoked through the centuries. I found the perfect marriage of the skull with one of the most important flower symbols in the world—a rose. To me, this collection symbolizes the triumph of spirit over matter and is a reminder of compassionate love and humanity.
